A Fine Aroma rises, with Candles & Roses..

It’s been a while since my last post, and as you can guess from the title, I experienced a new and beautifully challenging incident.. yes, I GOT MARRIED..! so, for the first month up until the first year of the marriage, I can recommend this cultural activity for all the singles out there.. so far it’s so freakin great.. Entering a new phase of one’s life is always is.. It’s a milestone for me, as I’ve been going through many experiences for all these long years of bachelorhood.. now, it’s time to settle down, and share all the beautiful things I care about with someone I love, honor and respect..

I’ve planned to go to Zell Am See, Austria then Milan for the honeymoon.. however, all these freaking Swine flu cases forced me to change my plan, so I spent it in Dubai, which, by the way, is considered one of the best destinations in the world, although I didn’t expect much, but it turned out to be one of the best trips I’ve had.. it’s about the company u take with you, I say.. it’s the “who” not the “where”.. I’ve never stayed in a hotel or a resort in Dubai before although it’s less than a couple of hours away, but I have to say, it has the best services and facilities in the world..
Now, to settle down and feel the serenity that this partnership affords is by itself enough to be happy, for a while before life hits you with its troubles and responsibilities again.. so, the old grumpy me is on leave for now.. feel free to leave any messages.. :P
Don’t expect any new articles or ramblings for a while.. I’ll be busy smelling the flowers..

A walk, a groan and a missing roof..

The road back to our town might prove to be longer than I thought. Definitely intolerable, now that I’m limping my way through after that horrid fall. I’m fortunate enough that Abel was with me; else I’ll be in some wild bear innards by now, getting digested slowly. “Can you still walk?” she asked.  “I guess I still can!” I almost shouted the words out. My damn masculine ego is the only thing keeping me from asking her to carry me all the way home. No, to the Three Gulls Tavern first; ale is much deserved after this murky morning. Although she’s three years my elder, she never showed it to me. My stupidity sometimes leads me to think that she has a heart for me. But, then, I remember the voyages my tongue got me into through my escapades in the realms of women. With them, I fall easily, but I get back up with, a scar of course.  But, Abel… I can’t afford going in that path with her. She’s a precious friend. An older friend whom I can’t define.
